WAYNE FINGER | ASSISTANT MANAGER

How long have you been with the hotel?:  I have work at the hotel for 6 years

What do you enjoy most about your role? I enjoy looking after both our guests and the team, and making sure everyone has a positive experience during their time with us. Creating a welcoming environment and ensuring everything runs smoothly is what I enjoy most.

How long have you lived there. What’s your top 3 tips for local experiences a guest might enjoy?

I am a long-time Central Coast local and love sharing the area with our guests. My top three local experiences I recommend are:

  1. A sunset walk along the Long Jetty foreshore
  2. A coastal walk around Norah Head Lighthouse
  3. Breakfast and coffee at The Green Tangerine

Fun Fact – What do you enjoy doing most when not working? When I’m not working, I enjoy staying active through cycling and hiking, and I love travelling whenever I get the chance.

MATTHEW SIMPSON | NIGHT AUDITOR

How long have you been with the hotel?: 11 years

What do you enjoy most about your role? I enjoy working in a dedicated and respectful small team that shares large collective experience. We are able to achieve new challenges and goals set each year and are able to push what is expected from our hotel. For my role, I enjoy auditing the hotel in peaceful nights whilst watching over and protecting our hotel from 11pm to 7am.

How long have you lived there. What’s your top 3 tips for local experiences a guest might enjoy? I have lived on the central coast for 26 years. The Central Coast offers great beaches, my favourite being Catherine Hill Bay, but the most private being Budgewoi, and the most popular being The Entrance where I work. Terrigal offers the best place for Dinner on the Coast with the nicest views for weekend getaways. And the Australian Reptile Park is the most famous attraction in the area, but the Central Coast Zoo offers animals such as Camels and Lions.

Fun Fact – What do you enjoy doing most when not working? I enjoy family, gaming, poker and research.
