Whether you’re a seasoned marathon swimmer or just dipping your toes into open water, there’s a swim for every level. With Olympic legend Michael Klim hosting clinics, a vibrant social program, and a full weekend of racing, it’s the perfect event to stay, swim, and soak up the coastal vibes.
Part of the World Series Swims calendar, Terrigal Swim Fest is more than just a race weekend – it’s a community celebration of ocean swimming. Terrigal Beach offers calm, sheltered conditions ideal for first-timers, families, and competitive swimmers alike.
Held over three days, the event includes coaching clinics, junior races, long-distance swims, and even a knockout sprint relay, drawing swimmers and spectators from across NSW and beyond.

Led by elite swim coaches and Olympic gold medallist Michael Klim, these sessions are ideal for beginners or those refining their technique.
Whether you’re new to ocean swims or looking for that competitive edge, Saturday’s sessions set you up for success.
From short, family-friendly races to endurance challenges, Sunday’s events are designed for all types of swimmers:
Ages 8–15
Parents can swim alongside
Field capped at 150 swimmers
Beginner-friendly, ideal for first-timers
Field limit: 500 swimmers
The flagship swim for social and competitive swimmers
Field limit: 750 swimmers
For those seeking a mid-range endurance test
Field limit: 500 swimmers
Multi-lap course for experienced swimmers
$500, $300, $200 prizes for podium finishes
Field limit: 250 swimmers
Three sprints: 1000m → 500m → 250m
Top finishers advance to next round
Free if you’ve entered another event (pre-registration required)
